FABRICATION BY WELDING

Razor Machine does two types of welding: MIG and TIG, which is a fabrication or sculptural process joining materials, usually metals or thermoplastics, utilizing high heat which melts parts together then allowing them to cool to result in fusion.

Our MIG (metal insert gas) welding is an arc welding process during which a continuous solid wire electrode is fed through a welding gun and into the weld pool, joining the two base materials together. A shielding gas, also sent through the welding gun, protects the weld pool from contamination.

Razor Machine’s TIG (tungsten inert gas) welding, is an arc welding process that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode for the weld. The weld area and electrode are protected from oxidation or other contamination by an inert shielding gas, typically argon or helium, and a filler metal is normally used.
